Seasonal wellness without diagnosis

作者 天机养生编辑部 · 最後更新 2026-06-08

Safety and educational boundaries · Read the disclaimer

TianJi deliberately confines its guidance to lifestyle domains — diet, sleep, exercise, emotional regulation, and daily rhythm — and never offers medical diagnosis, treatment prescriptions, or health-risk assessments. This boundary is not a limitation bolted on after the fact; it reflects the original intent of the classical sources that TianJi draws from.

Classical lifestyle framing in the Suwen

The Suwen's foundational wellness treatise, 《素问·四气调神大论》, is itself a lifestyle document. It describes how to align sleep, activity, and emotional state with each season: rise early and walk outdoors in spring, sleep later and rest at midday in summer, retire early and rise with the rooster in autumn, and go to bed early and wait for sunlight in winter. The text frames these as practices for "nourishing life" (养生), not as treatments for disease. TianJi follows that same framing — its outputs are seasonal living suggestions, full stop.

What TianJi actually computes and suggests

What TianJi does is compute the climatic pattern for a given date or birth year using WuYun-LiuQi formulas, then translate that pattern into plain-language lifestyle guidance. A period dominated by Damp-Earth might prompt suggestions to favour lightly cooked foods and avoid heavy, greasy meals. A period of Dryness-Metal might encourage moisturising foods and gentle breathing exercises. These are educational pointers drawn from classical correspondences, not personalised medical recommendations.

Why the boundary protects safety and integrity

The boundary matters for both safety and integrity. Classical climate-health theory is rich and suggestive, but it cannot substitute for a licensed practitioner's evaluation of an individual's actual health status. By staying in the wellness lane, TianJi ensures that its outputs remain useful without overstepping — and that users understand the difference between seasonal lifestyle guidance and clinical care.

When to seek professional care

If you have a health concern, TianJi's guidance is not the place to address it. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for any medical question. TianJi is here to help you live in better rhythm with the seasons, using classical theory as an educational lens.

Why does TianJi not offer diagnosis?
TianJi is an educational wellness tool rooted in classical climate-health theory. It does not have access to your clinical data and is not designed to diagnose, treat, or assess any medical condition. For health concerns, consult a qualified practitioner.
What kind of guidance does TianJi actually give?
TianJi provides seasonal lifestyle suggestions — diet, sleep timing, exercise intensity, and emotional regulation — derived from the WuYun-LiuQi climatic pattern of a given date or birth year.
Is the classical guidance in TianJi a substitute for professional advice?
No. TianJi's outputs are educational and grounded in historical texts. They complement but never replace the judgement of a licensed healthcare professional.
